The Visual and Critical Studies program is designed for students interested in the scholarly and creative investigation of the production, dissemination, and impact of visual images, objects, experiences, and practices. With the visual as a starting point, students use multiple methods of critical investigation to study the interactions between visual phenomena and their historical, disciplinary, and social contexts.

Interested in a teaching position in Chicago Public Schools? 
The Academy of Urban School Leadership ( AUSL) is reaching out to SAIC applicants for its Chicago Teacher Residency program, an exciting one-year program to prepare talented individuals to teach in Chicago Public Schools. 

The program offers a year of full-time, financial support ($30,000 training salary), teacher certification, a Master’s degree, and job placement support for college graduates. Anyone with a bachelor’s degree and a passion for teaching is eligible to apply.
