Would you reccomend saic for a person who wants to study architecture?? And possibly go on to grad school for architecture after???? What does saic have to offer for students interested in undergrad architecture studies??

Architecture, Interior Architecture, and Design program is excellent.  Many design students work within the department, but one of the strong suits of our school is that you can take classes in other departments to inform your design practice.  For example, students take classes in Visual Communications, our graphic and interface design department as well.  SAIC emphasizes the conceptual nature of practice, so you’re really thinking about the manner of crafting social space in the AIADO Dept., and therefore might be really interested in some of our academic classes in Visual and Critical Studies.  As far as “what we have to offer,” besides amazing facilities, faculty, a fluid interdisciplinary philosophy, we have a number of opportunities that will be directly affiliated with the department, such as internships off campus and study trips in other cities, countries, or continents.  Check out some of the upcoming lectures presented by visiting designers, architects, and scholars here.
